To be eligible for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

This award recognizes student organization members for distinguished service to the organization and to the Department of Risk Management and Insurance and its activities.

Clemson University has announced the Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

The Gary Winkle Award is given in honor of Dr. Gary Winkle to a student in the Masters of Professional Accountancy program with high scholastic achievement.

Valdosta State University has announced the names of those Spring 2015 students who earned Dean's List status. Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean's List. Developmental studies, transients, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean's List status.

Georgia State University recognizes one outstanding Health Informatics student from each graduating cohort per year. This award is given to students who have demonstrated academic achievement, have strong leadership skills, and strong potential as future health IT professionals.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, the newest Georgia College students and their families attended New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program that offers new students and transfer students the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and "take care of business" to prepare for move-in.

Louis Samuel Brooke, Jr., Scholarship was established through the Estate of Louis Samuel Brooke, Jr. to benefit students in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Georgia State alumna, Angela Z. Allen, and her husband, Sam, established the Zera-Allen Scholarship to provide support for undergraduate students in good academic standing in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. To be eligible for this scholarship, recipients must be first generation college students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have demonstrated strong student and/or community service experience.

The Kell Award is given to the senior who has achieved the highest scholastic average with all course work taken at Georgia State.

H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr. Outstanding Student award is named after Mr. H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr., past chairman of the board of Life of Georgia and a Georgia State alum. The award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate finance major over the past year. The criteria used to determine the recipient include classroom performance and recommendations from past instructors.

Graduate students in the areas of criminal justice and criminology, economics, public management and policy, and social work presented poster displays highlighting their research, internship and capstone experiences at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies' Public Service Research End Event, May 5, 2015.

Darby Witek was one of only 16 students in the country to receive the Gilder-Lehrman History Scholar Award.

Several students were recently chosen to have their work publishedrk in "The Corinthian," Georgia College's journal of student research.

The national organization regularly inducts thousands of academically excellent students who share its mission of promoting education and providing community service to their colleges and communities. Currently, there are approximately 40,000 active student members of Gamma Beta Phi and their numbers and commitment to the Society's ideals continue to grow.

The GIVE Center announced the recipients of the Bronze Level Presidential Service Award. This list is comprised of students who have completed between 100-174 service hours during 2014.
